COMING UP AT THE CASTLE THIS SUMMER
Lee Gatiss on 1 Timothy
This summer, we are pleased to welcome Lee Gatiss to The Castle for a focused series on 1 Timothy. From 30th May to 1st June, Lee will take us through this profound letter from the Apostle Paul, exploring its rich teaching on leadership, sound doctrine, and how the church is called to live as the household of God.
1 Timothy is a letter written to a young church leader, filled with practical wisdom and theological depth. It addresses the importance of guarding the truth, living out the gospel in everyday life, and building a church community that reflects God’s character and mission. Over the course of these sessions, Lee will carefully unpack the letter, encouraging us to consider how its message continues to speak into the challenges and opportunities faced by the church today.
Lee Gatiss is Director of the Church Society and teaches at Union Theological Seminary in Wales. He is widely respected as a theologian, writer, and historian, with a particular expertise in Reformation theology and Anglican history. Lee’s work has been published on various platforms, and his thoughtful, engaging teaching has made him a sought-after speaker across the UK and beyond.
